PAT BOONE'S GOLD LABEL
Described by Pat Boone as "a senior tour for singers."
Loving everything about the recording business, in the late 1990s Boone contacted a number of his peers --- singers who'd sold millions of records --- and offered them the opportunity to make new records and be part of keeping their previous hits available. Described by Boone as "a senior tour for singers," The Gold Label has become a destination for keeping in touch with the biggest hits of the '40s, '50s, and '60s by the legendary musicians that made them famous, including fabulous singers like Jack Jones, Glen Campbell, Patti Page, The Four Freshmen, Sha Na Na, The Ventures, and more.
In recent years The Gold Label began discovering and adding to its roster of new artists spanning a variety of genres including vocal and instrument, Jazz, Neoclassical and Pop, such as "American Idol" finalist Rachel Diggs, whose songs from her Gold Label debut, "Center of the Earth" (produced by David Hodges of Evanescence) are frequently heard on ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars." Other Gold Label signings include Billboard charting Jazz Musician and top LA composer/arranger/producer David Diggs.
In 2012 The Gold Label released Pat Boone's "Near," a very personal collection of 12 love songs from the greatest songsmith including "The Nearness of You" (Hoagy Carmichael/Ned Washington), "Moonlight Becomes You" (Jimmy Van Heusen/Johnny Burke), and "The More I See You" (Harry Warren/Mack Gordon).
